BURN began in 2018 in the backyard of Fire School of Ministry. A bunch of young people would gather, all hungry for the Word of God. The frequent meetings and growth in the number of youth who are attending clearly confirmed and magnified the burden and the call the Lord gave us to extend our hands and reach out the teens around Davao City.
We began with no name, no fixed schedules at first–just the fire of the Gospel, the passion in our hearts and the Holy Spirit leading us through each meeting. Then by the end of May 2018, BURN Discipleship Movement was officially created. It stands for BUILD, UNIFY, RESTORE and NURTURE which is our team’s core prayer and goals for the youth the LORD is entrusting us.
To this day, the LORD has been faithful and gracious in keeping the fire He has placed in our hearts. We continue to BURN for Him and ignite others to do the same.
